Abstract:
Articolul cuprinde un istoric legislativ al succesiunii de legi ce privesc repausul duminical, poziționarea acestor legi în contextul cotidian al timpului respectiv cu ajutorul informației provenite din presa scrisă și a altor tipuri de documente la care se adaugă și imagini din cadrul Colecției de Artă Plastică a Muzeului Municipiului București. Alături de formulările legislative cu privire la repausul duminical articolul menționează și cadrul legislativ pentru sărbătorile legale, implicarea și impactul social al acestor reglementări. De asemenea, sunt menționate forme de manifestare a repausului duminical în spațiul public bucureștean în suprapuneri cu alte sărbători dar mai ales în manifestările dedicate zilei de duminică.
The article presents a legislative history of the succession of laws concerning Sunday rest, situating these laws within the everyday context of their time with the help of information drawn from the written press and other types of documents, complemented by images from the Fine Art Collection of the Bucharest Municipality Museum. Alongside the legislative formulations regarding Sunday rest, the article also addresses the legal framework governing statutory holidays, as well as the social involvement and impact of these regulations. It further discusses forms of manifestation of Sunday rest in Bucharest’s public space, including overlaps with other holidays, but especially activities and practices specifically dedicated to Sundays.
