Abstract:
Articolul își propune să recupereze numele unor negustori evrei de pe strada Lipscani și să urmeze evoluția comerțului cu stofe și specificului său pentru comerțul evreiesc. Cele două exemple sunt cele mai relevante pentru reprezentarea îndelungată pe strada Lipscani și pentru faptul că fac parte din conducerea comunității evreiești: askenazim (familia Breuer/Breyer) și respectiv sefardă (familia Ascher). Aceste istorii comerciale sunt rareori consemnate și este nevoie de recitirea acestor spații care sunt azi modificate și reconvertite în spații culturale și de divertisment.
The article aims to recover the names of some Jewish merchants from Lipscani street and to follow the evolution of the cloth trade and its specifics for the Jewish trade. The two examples are the most relevant for the long representation on Lipscani street and for the fact that they are part of the leadership of the Jewish community: Ashkenazim (Breuer/Breyer family) and Sephardi (Ascher family). These commercial histories are rarely recorded and there is a need to re-read these spaces which are today modified and re-converted into cultural and entertainment spaces.
