Abstract:

Articolul aduce în prezentare evoluția arhitecturală a spațiului bucureștean din secolul al XIX-lea și început de secol XX, cu ajutorul imaginilor selectate din Colecția Artă Plastică-Pictură a Muzeului Municipiului București. Sunt cuprinse o mică parte din lucrările de pictură și grafică ale unor cunoscuți autori sau ale unor anonimi. Articolul se conturează pe istoricul arhitectural urban general și conține descrieri ale lucrărilor selectate și încadrate în aceste etape de dezvoltare urbană cu teme specifice.

The article presents the architectural evolution of Bucharest’s space in the 19th and early 20th century,through images selected from two collections of the Bucharest Municipality Museum the Fine Art Collection and the Prints and Imprints Collection. It includes a small part of paintings, graphics and lithographs by well-known and anonymous artists.The article outlines the general urban architectural history and contains descriptions of the selected works framed within these stages of urban development with specific themes.
